Enhancing Our Impact: Red Deer Polytechnic shares new Strategic Plan
Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) has bold plans as the post-secondary institution shares its 2030 Strategic Plan: Productivity & Social Impact.
“Our plan is bold and ambitious,” comments Stuart Cullum, President. “Building on our 60-year foundation of education, training, applied research and service to central Alberta, our new strategic plan provides the blueprint for us to become the polytechnic that Alberta and Canada needs. A polytechnic that is focused on the economic and social interests of our province, and is committed to creating innovation ecosystems where learners, industry, community partners, and cross-disciplinary experts can come together to solve challenges and seize opportunities for positive social and economic impact.”
The plan is centered around strategic drivers that provide clear growth opportunities for the institution, and support RDP’s four areas of focus: Manufacturing & Advanced Manufacturing, Energy Innovation, Healthcare & Health Technology and Social Innovation.
Red Deer Polytechnic’s Board of Governors and Leadership Team recently hosted an Impact Breakfast attended by community partners, government officials and business leaders. The gathering provided RDP with the opportunity to showcase the institution’s newly launched 2030 Strategic Plan: Productivity & Social Impact.
Since being designated a polytechnic institute in 2021, Red Deer Polytechnic has fundamentally shifted its purpose, elevated its impact and become focused on advancing Alberta’s economic and social priorities. RDP is transforming into a provincially focused, nationally recognized, and globally relevant polytechnic.
