These two Alberta athletes recently competed at a competition in Mazatlan, Mexico. They spent their spring break training in Puerto Vallarta to prepare for the upcoming high school season. Kylie Sargent finished 3rd in the 100m and 400m. Eiley Morrison finished with a tie in the 100m however with the tie breaker was awarded 2nd.
Tom currently holds the all-time RDP Kings Volleyball record for assists. In mid-March, he had a total of 2,693 assists which placed him second of all-time in the ACAC. Tom is 606 away from tying the conference record.
Katie recently competed at the Alberta Provincial Indoor track & field championships. She won the U20 women’s 60m hurdles and is undefeated in the indoor competition season to date. She starts her preparations for the Olympic trials later this summer in Montreal.
Jenna plays forward for the RDP Queens Hockey team. She recently scored two goals resulting in a 6-0 win over the Broncos. She was named the player of the game following the win and now has four goals and six assists for a total of 10 points in 18 games played this season.
Ryland started playing hockey late, but once he started, he knew he would love it for the rest of his life. He says the sport calms him and helps ease his aggressiveness which oddly, can be a quality to effectively harness in such a fast paced game. Ryland shares the same passion with lacrosse.

In her 2024 season debut, Loami recently finished her day with a first and second-place finish while helping the Queens to two first-place finishes in both relays. Her wins, along with some other incredible performances from her teammates, put the Queens in first place for the meet.

Colby continues his offence leading play as an outside hitter for the RDP Kings. As a Player of the match, Colby recently earned 19 kills (an unreturnable attack) which was a season-high for him. In the first twelve matches of this school year, he achieved 111 total kills and 18 service aces.
